An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Senior Children\βs Nurse who is dynamic and high performing to join the senior management team as Matron for Children\βs Services based at Colchester hospital. You will provide managerial, professional and clinical leadership to nurses and support staff working within the children\βs service ensuring the professional contributions of these staff is maximised to achieve the Trusts objectives and strategic goals in accordance with user needs, and national and local professional standards. You will work well within the multi-disciplinary team, influencing and leading others in practice, in the delivery of clinical outcomes and support the General Manager to drive high standards of quality care and patient experience. Working alongside the Children\βs management team you will oversee a diverse portfolio including inpatient services, Children\βs elective care, assessment unit and out patients.
- For the delivery of the Clinical Specialty Clinical Governance agenda working within the Trust framework of Clinical Governance ensuring nursing and associated clinical services deliver quality, performance and operational objectives.
- For the continuous improvement of clinical productivity, patient safety and experience for all patients and carers.
- Accountable for the delivery and monitoring of robust infection control measures through relentless vigilance by ensuring delivery of all aspects of the Infection Control Strategy.
- For management of the nursing and clinical service, ensuring the delivery of high quality, timely care.
