ESNEFT is based across two acute hospitals and six community hospitals. Formed from the merger of Ipswich and Colchester hospitals and the integration of community services across the two counties, we are a large successful integrated trust with financial stability and a clear strategy for the future. The Chief Medical Officer role holds an exciting and varied portfolio. It is responsible for clinical safety, outcomes and effectiveness providing expert advice and information to the Trust Board. Naturally, the role has the overarching responsibility for the professional leadership of the medical staff at ESNEF.
