The Trust is a major integrated acute and community provider and one of the largest employers in East Anglia. Our almost 12,000 staff are responsible for delivering services to a population of approximately a million people living locally.

ESNEFT is based across two acute hospitals and six community hospitals. Formed from the merger of Ipswich and Colchester hospitals and the integration of community services across the two counties, we are a large successful integrated trust with financial stability and a clear strategy for the future. The Chief Medical Officer role holds an exciting and varied portfolio. It is responsible for clinical safety, outcomes and effectiveness providing expert advice and information to the Trust Board. Naturally, the role has the overarching responsibility for the professional leadership of the medical staff at ESNEF.
