We are looking for a vibrant, confident person to join our Cancer Hub at Colchester General Hospital to help deliver a high-quality service.
We need key staff with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
You must have basic keyboard skills and a clear, confident telephone manner. Ideally, you will have previous experience in a similar environment within an NHS setting. You will need to have excellent organisational skills as this is a fast-paced environment.
You will need the ability to work on your own initiative and remain calm in difficult situations.
Patients invited to attend these appointments may be anxious about a cancer diagnosis and may be tearful, distressed, upset, and/or angry. You need to listen and deal with their enquiries politely and efficiently.
You will be required to work within timed pathways and comply with national and local waiting time targets.
