St Anne’s School and Sixth Form College is a school for students with severe learning difficulties and complex needs, and we are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to work with our small highly dedicated and committed team of kitchen staff. It should be noted this is a physically demanding role.
You will be responsible for delivering a high-quality lunch service, duties will include:
- Preparing food
- Serving food to pupils
- Assisting with pot washing and clean down service
- Maintaining the cleanliness of equipment and the kitchen
- Assisting with food stock control procedures
You will:
- have previous experience of working in a kitchen environment
- be a team player
- be able to use your own initiative
- be a good communicator and able to build good relationships with staff and pupils
- be committed to providing a high-quality service
Hours of work: 16.25 hours term time only plus 4 additional cleaning days. Working Hours: 10.15 am - 1.30 pm Monday to Friday.
You must provide at least the last 10 years of employment or education history and explain any gaps and you must have a legal right to work in the UK. Appointments will be subject to satisfactory disclosure checks at enhanced level by the Disclosure and Barring Service as well as other background checks including professional references.
