We are seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our committed and nurturing team. The successful candidate will work primarily on a 1:1 basis with a child in EYFS, supporting their access to learning, communication and play. The role will also involve small-group work and wider class support under the direction of the class teacher.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Committed to inclusion and able to respond to the individual needs of all children
- Experienced in SEND, with an understanding of strategies that support children with autism
- Knowledgeable about EYFS and confident in promoting early communication, interaction and independence
- An excellent communicator who builds strong, supportive relationships with children and colleagues
- Positive, caring and flexible in their approach to teamwork and classroom support
- Passionate about child-centred learning and able to contribute to a vibrant, engaging EYFS curriculum
The role will include:
- Supporting a child with autism to access learning, routines and social interaction
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement agreed strategies
- Providing small-group support when required
- Contributing to a warm, purposeful and inclusive classroom environment
