The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

A permanent position has arisen to join the Highways Technical Service Group based at the Beverley Depot. You would join a team with responsibility for the management and delivery of all aspects of work with the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and associated regulations and Code of Practice.

Duties will include the inspection and monitoring of Street Works and permits in the highway, processing private works applications and monitoring the skip and scaffold licensing process. To enable this work to be completed you must have excellent IT skills.

Ideally, you should have suitable experience in a highway maintenance related discipline or be able to demonstrate significant experience of working in a similar role. You should also have experience in the operational delivery of a customer focused service.

You should have developed interpersonal and communication skills to enable you to deal with internal and external customers in a professional and confident manner. You should also be a good team player, being both flexible and positive and able to adapt to new situations or procedures as required.

Although based at the Beverley Depot, there is a possibility of taking on additional duties involving travel to outlying sites to undertake inspections for which a mileage allowance is payable.
