Our school is proud of its strong community ethos, where every student is known and supported to achieve their full potential. We are a small, inclusive school with a positive learning environment and excellent relationships between staff and students. Our most recent inspection judged the school to be good in all areas, reflecting our high standards and commitment to continuous improvement.
Our size is a real strength as it enables students and their families to work closely with the teaching and support staff at the school, building positive working relationships. We believe that students achieve best in a supportive and positive environment – and that is what you will find in our school.
Due to our expanding Enhanced Resource Provision for students on the autistic spectrum, we require a Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs. Experience of working with students with Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, and/or physical disabilities is preferred; however, TMWS would consider an apprenticeship for any candidates without qualifications who have an enthusiasm to support young people and undertake any necessary training.
As a school with many students with additional needs, we can offer opportunities for CPD and career progression at all levels within our dedicated team of teaching assistants.
For further details, please see the school website, call or email Sarah Florence. Candidates are welcome to visit the school prior to formal application. Online applications close on 2 July. Applications will be received at the school up until 12 noon on 3 July.
If you already work for the council and have previously used an Employee Self Service (ESS) account to login to apply online, from September 2025 you will need to create a new account using your personal email address. This school does not have the resources to send individual notifications to all applicants who are not shortlisted, so if you have not been contacted within 2 weeks of the closing date you should assume you have been unsuccessful.
If selected for interview, an online search will be conducted for candidates. This is in line with KCSiE 2022.
This post is subject to an enhanced DBS clearance check. The school is committed to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare. All members of staff are expected to share this commitment.
