The job itself at Sutton upon Derwent Church of England Primary School is a loving school family. We are delighted to offer the following role in our school, to start as soon as possible. Applications are invited for the following two posts which will be combined.

  • Kitchen Assistant: Required to work 5 hours per week, 11.30am - 12.30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only. You will need to be a team player who is flexible and can work to a high standard without supervision, and be willing to attend necessary food hygiene and first aid courses. Duties to include:
  • Preparing the dining area
  • Serve lunches to pupils and staff
  • Assist in washing crockery, cutlery and serving utensils
  • Maintaining a hygienic, safe and pleasant environment for pupils and staff
  • Midday Supervisory Assistant: Required to work 2.5 hours per week, 12.30pm-1pm Monday to Friday, term time only. To provide effective lunchtime supervision, ensuring that the well-being and health and safety of students is maintained. Previous experience working in an education environment or experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • The successful applicant will be expected to undertake both roles.
