A lady in her 40s living in Bridlington who has a learning disability, cerebral palsy, and mobility issues requires support across 7 days per week. Full and part-time positions are available, along with options for live-in carers.

Schedule

  • Monday to Sunday 7am – 9.30am - Personal care.
  • Monday to Friday 4.30pm – 9.30pm - Undressing, getting ready for bed, social interaction, and activities at home.
  • Saturday 1.30pm – 9.30pm - Undressing, getting ready for bed, social interaction, activities at home, plus supporting female on outings.
  • Sunday 2.30pm – 9.30pm - Undressing, getting ready for bed, social interaction, activities at home, plus supporting female on outings.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates would be patient, caring, friendly, and trustworthy. Experience working with people with a learning disability would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • All aspects of personal care, dressing, undressing, and getting ready for bed.
  • Social interaction and activities at home. The lady enjoys arts & crafts, using her iPad, watching television, playing games, and jigsaws.
  • On weekends, duties include supporting her on outings.

A genuine occupational requirement for a female worker exists for this post under the Equality Act 2010 due to privacy and decency. Driving license is desirable; access to own car is not required as a car is available. DBS and reference checks will be required; costs will be covered by the local authority.

Additional Information

The Direct Payments Support Service promotes independent choice and inclusion, supporting individuals to employ their own care and support staff. We assist in advertising and recruitment for roles such as support workers, carers, and personal assistants.

Travel

Some travel across East Riding of Yorkshire may be required. Applicants must be able to transport themselves.
