Are you a qualified Social Worker looking for a role with a good work life balance and real progression opportunity? Social Worker careers in East Riding of Yorkshire Council Childrens Social Care could be exactly what you are looking for.

We are recruiting Social Workers to join our Children with Disabilities Team. We work with families in the community delivering interventions through child in need plans, Children looked after, child protection plans through to court work and care proceedings. The team works closely with partner agencies and family support workers to deliver holistic interventions to children, young people with complex needs and disabilities and their families.

Working as part of a small team including social workers, advanced social work practitioners, newly qualified social workers and students, with a dedicated admin support to undertake service specific tasks, the roles report directly to the Team Manager. The service offers blended working opportunities and provide agile working kits to allow work to be completed in council offices or from home.

Day-to-day duties include:

  • Building relationships with children, young people and families.
  • Assessing the needs of children, young people and families.
  • Co-developing plans with families and partner agencies.
  • Providing intervention and support to children, young people and families in the community.
