The job itself

We have a fantastic opportunity for an MRICS surveyor seeking to progress their career working as part of a friendly team on rewarding work in a beautiful part of the country.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council covers a diverse area stretching from the coast to Hull in the south and towards York on the west. We are seeking a dynamic professional to deal with a wide variety of property work, including formal valuations, purchases, sales and estate management. A focus for the role will be the acquisition and development of new housing and you will be involved in negotiating with owners, builders and internal stakeholders. In addition, the Council holds large commercial, operational and agricultural estates and there will be opportunities to tailor your caseload to your skills and interests and to work on muti-disciplinary project teams.

The role would suit a candidate looking for a new challenge who is keen to use and develop their property expertise to make a real and positive impact. Ideally you will have a proven track record in valuation and be a professional member of the RICS with Registered Valuer status, but equally important is adaptability, sound judgement, great communication skills and a can-do attitude.
