The job itself
This is an exciting opportunity to join the West area housing management team for a fixed term until 31st March 2026 in the important role of Senior Housing Management Officer.
The post has specific responsibilities for managing a team dealing with allocation and management of the councils housing stock in the West area based in the council offices at Goole. You will also be responsible for providing housing advice to applicants on the waiting list and determining homeless applications in line with the Homeless Reduction Act.
You will deliver excellent service to our customers identifying best practice and deliver innovative solutions. Previous experience in social housing is required along with experience of local government. Extensive knowledge of housing legislation, policy and housing law is essential.
Strong leadership skills, excellent communication and experience of supervising staff, along with relevant housing qualification and professional qualification in housing is desirable
