The job itself requires technical expertise with assurance, audit, investigation and service delivery. The postholder will contribute to the development and review of health and safety policies, procedures and guidance, and will monitor and report on their effectiveness across the organisation.
A key part of the role will be supporting the planning, structure and delivery of the Council's health and safety audit programme in line with the Assurance Map, alongside the analysis of incidents, accidents and performance data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
You will prepare clear, evidence based reports and recommendations to support service improvement and compliance. The role also involves undertaking and supporting investigations into serious incidents in conjunction with managers, deputising for the Occupational Health.
