This is an external vacancy and is not employment with East Riding of Yorkshire Council. As a Volunteer School Governor, you will play a crucial role in the strategic management of the school, ensuring that every child receives the best possible education. You will work collaboratively with other governors, the headteacher, and school staff to set the school's vision, ethos, and strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's strategic plan.
- Accountability: Hold the headteacher and senior leaders accountable for the educational performance of the school and its pupils.
- Financial Oversight: Ensure the school’s budget is managed effectively and that resources are allocated appropriately.

Some travel across East Riding of Yorkshire may be required; applicants must be able to transport themselves.
