Responsibilities:
- Drive a refuse vehicle to collect household, industrial, and commercial waste from a variety of locations such as domestic properties, schools, highway maintained sites, and shops.
- Assist in loading the vehicle when not driving, working as part of the operating team with a hands-on approach to ensure effective delivery of day-to-day waste service collections.
- Use the Bartec collective system for refuse schedules.
- Work overtime or weekends as required, including Saturdays, bank/public holidays, and between Christmas and the New Year, with appropriate enhancement paid.
Qualifications:
- Refuse collection experience (training can be provided where necessary).
- Initiative, strong communication skills, and good customer care skills.
- Full driving licence with entitlement to drive LGV Class C vehicles.
- Local knowledge of the Carnaby Depot and surrounding East Riding areas is useful.
