The predicted salary is between 20000 - 25000 £ per year.

To form part of a team of street cleansing operatives, or to work alone, to ensure ERYC’s towns, streets and open spaces are cleaned to a high standard.

To cleanse the streets, sea front environs, town centres, industrial areas and parks within the ERYC of litter, weeds, detritus and fly-tipped material and other works associated with the street cleansing service.

To be available to cover other operations within the council, eg, refuse collection at short notice.

Perform duties in a safe and courteous manner, remembering at all times that you are an ambassador for the ERYC.

Follow the Council’s health and safety policy, which includes wearing PPE and ERYC’s uniform.

Maintain and take responsibility for your equipment, which includes daily checks and cleaning your equipment, when appropriate.

Participate in flexible working patterns in order to accommodate the demands of the service. This may include working bank holidays, between Christmas and the New Year and/or evenings in order to meet the peak service demands of this time of year.

The role is based at the Market Weighton depot, so good local knowledge would be useful.
