St Anne’s School and Sixth Form College on Boothferry Road in Hessle are looking for outstanding people to join our exceptional team as Lunchtime Assistants across all student age groups (3 to 19 years).

Teamwork is key at St Anne’s. As a school for students with complex medical needs and severe learning difficulties, our Lunchtime Assistants secure the safety, welfare and behaviour of children during the midday break and maintain hygiene standards withing the dining environment.

A warm, caring and patient personality is essential to work at St Anne’s and you must be able to:

  • Work with children and young people with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with the children and other staff
  • Both follow direction and take own initiative and be proactive
  • Be a trustworthy role model in and around our school community
  • Respect and maintain confidentiality whilst adhering to safeguarding principles at all times
