Join us as a Library Supervisor and shape the future of North Bridlington Library! We are looking for an energetic, customer-focused leader to take charge of the day-to-day operations in our newly refurbished library. Working hand-in-hand with the librarian, you will help deliver a modern, flexible service that meets the needs of a vibrant and diverse community. In this exciting role, you’ll combine team leadership, outstanding customer service, digital support, and community engagement to keep the library buzzing with activity.
From supervising staff and managing resources to championing our services both in-person and online, you’ll play a key part in making the library a welcoming, innovative space for everyone.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead daily library operations, ensuring services meet policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Act as on-site lead, driving engagement and promoting all facilities, including the sensory room, wellbeing zone, digital hub, and study booths.
- Supervise and develop staff, monitor performance, and manage records, including cash handling.
- Deliver exceptional customer service as the first point of contact and provide accurate, timely information.
- Manage enquiries, enabling access to library and external resources, and signpost to wider support services.
- Collaborate with colleagues, community groups, and partners to deliver a joined-up service and enhance engagement.
- Provide ICT support, guiding customers on digital resources and escalating technical issues as needed.
- Maintain health, safety, and security standards, including building access and reporting facilities issues.
You will need to be an organised, proactive leader with a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences. Be confident in supervising teams and engaging with a diverse range of customers, have the ability to thrive in creating a welcoming, inclusive space that champions modern library services.
