The job itself

In addition to the salary, this role attracts enhanced payments, which include:

  • Time and a half for all weekend hours.
  • Time and a third for weekdays hours worked between 20.00 and 23.00
  • Double time for Bank holidays

The Old School House Residential home is a care home for older people living with advanced dementia in Beverley. The home has been awarded a \’Outstanding\’ rating by the Care Quality Commission and we pride ourselves on quality and providing a homely environment for our residents.

We currently have a vacancy for a Laundry assistant which is a 12 month temporary post working 16 hours per week on a 4 weekly rolling rota, including alternate weekends and some bank holidays ( 4 shifts weekly working 5pm-9pm).

Duties include collecting washing from areas of the home. Washing, drying and ironing clothing and bedding etc. Returning clothes to individual\’s rooms. You will also work with individuals to ensure the highest standard of dignity and independence are achieved.
