The Information Governance and Feedback Team are seeking an Information Governance Specialist to join a well-established team within Legal, Governance and Democratic Services. The post holder will support the organisation in ensuring compliance with Data Protection legislation, Surveillance Cameras, Freedom of Information Act and other relevant legislation.
The role will be involved in the day to day delivery of subject access requests, dealing with data protection incidents and providing advice to staff. They will be responsible for reviewing and undertaking redaction support, guidance and advice.
In addition, they will coordinate the Council's corporate Feedback system ensuring the delivery of the Feedback Policy. The post holder will be involved with wider Governance arrangements across the Council ensuring compliance with statutory obligations, monitoring and reporting. This role does work to legislative and statutory deadlines.
In addition, the role does require the review and redaction of sensitive information which may contain offending incidents or social care information.
