A Personal Assistant is required to support a young man, in the Howden area, who is a wheelchair user with Cerebral Palsy. He is looking for a Personal Assistant that help him to lead an independent life.
Responsibilities
- Help with household duties such as cleaning, meal preparation and shopping.
- Assistance with all aspects of Personal Care.
- The young man has a fully adapted Mobility Car, so the Personal Assistant will have to have a valid driving licence for this, but all insurance would be covered with the vehicle to be used for both shopping trips and outings.
- Provide support for all of the above needs as well as being flexible with the hours worked each week; a rota would be produced each week to cover the young man's appointments and responsibilities.
- The young man would require support on evenings and weekends for both social events and outings.
Requirements
- Valid driving licence for the fully adapted Mobility Car.
- Enhanced DBS clearance check (cost met by the local authority).
- DBS/Reference checks required.
- Applicants must be able to transport themselves for travel across East Riding of Yorkshire.
