An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Invest East Yorkshire team within Economic Development as Receptionist / Facility Co-ordinator at our prestigious business centre in Hessle. Ergo is the hub for renewables and environmental technologies, located at the heart of the UK's Energy Estuary with a prime location on the Bridgehead Business Park overlooking the Humber Bridge.

The two floors offer a range of business accommodation, conference and meeting room facilities along with an onsite café. The ground and first floor offices and workshops are let to a range of small to medium sized companies with the meeting and conference rooms being available for external bookings.

We are looking to recruit a part time Receptionist/Facility Co-ordinator to ensure the business centre is open between the hours of 7:30am to 5:30pm and to have some flexibility in terms of conference bookings. Two shift patterns will be worked rotating fortnightly Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday 7:30am-4:00pm and 9:00am-5:30pm.

As part of the front of house team, the successful candidate will need to have excellent customer care and communication skills. The post will be physically demanding and very varied, with duties to include:

  • Showing prospective tenants around
  • Meeting and greeting visitors
  • Setting up conference & meeting rooms
  • Problem solving
  • Managing tenants' expectations
  • Being the on-site fire warden
  • First aider
  • Carrying out a whole host of health and safety duties

You should have a minimum of NVQ Level II in Business Administration or equivalent, have direct experience of working in an office environment (facilities management desirable) along with diary management and be competent in the use of IT. You should also possess an interest in business, economic growth and developments in the local area.

You may be required to work from one of our other business centres occasionally, so use of a car and willingness to travel is desirable.

Appointment Type: Job Share

Days of work: Monday, Tuesday and every second Wednesday

Hours per week: 18.75 (2 shift patterns rotating fortnightly 7:30am-4:00pm & 9:00am-5:30pm).
