The Pastures Day Service is situated in the historic port town of Goole. The Day Service has been located in the old Pastures Primary School near to the town centre since 2008. The Pastures Day Service supports Adults with learning disabilities, Physical disabilities, Autism, older persons and those with additional needs.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and responsible Domestic Assistant to join our fantastic team at The Pastures Day Service. Working with and reporting to the Caretaker and with a small team of domestic staff, you will help support our Service Users by ensuring our sites are clean, tidy and healthy to meet their needs. This is a great opportunity to work as part of a team committed to helping individuals with varied and complex needs.
The role of our Domestic Assistants involves general cleaning duties and occasional kitchen duties including some light meal preparation; therefore, some knowledge of food hygiene and catering alongside some experience of domestic work would be desirable. High standards of cleanliness are important in this environment which involves some knowledge of infection control and use of cleaning materials and equipment. PPE will be provided.
Good teamwork is essential, as well as having good communication skills and a caring nature. You will be able to use your own initiative and work under direction. Training will be provided to meet all the requirements of the post; the applicant must be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service which is currently open between 06:00 and 16:30.
