A gentleman in his mid 70s requires a Personal Assistant (PA) for 17+ hours per week. He has PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy), which affects mobility and increases fall risk, so constant support is needed.

The role involves:

  • Assisting him into his chair using a lift
  • Supporting with washing and exercises
  • Helping him downstairs via a stairlift
  • Possibly supporting with feeding
  • Cleaning his room downstairs
  • Providing personal care, such as strip washing, until other adaptations are in place

A care plan is in place and will be updated as needed. We seek someone reliable and trustworthy, who can become part of the family dynamic and establish a good working relationship with the gentleman and his wife. Further role details will be discussed at interview.

DBS and reference checks are required for this position, with costs met by the local authority. To apply for this vacancy, please download the application form.
