A gentleman in his mid 70s requires a Personal Assistant (PA) for 17+ hours per week. He has PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy), which affects mobility and increases fall risk, so constant support is needed.
The role involves:
- Assisting him into his chair using a lift
- Supporting with washing and exercises
- Helping him downstairs via a stairlift
- Possibly supporting with feeding
- Cleaning his room downstairs
- Providing personal care, such as strip washing, until other adaptations are in place
