An opportunity has arisen for a reliable and compassionate Personal Assistant / Carer to support a woman living in a bungalow in Wilberfoss with her husband, who works full-time. The role involves providing practical day‑to‑day assistance to help maintain independence and a well‑run household. The client is a full‑time wheelchair user and is able to transfer independently. She has paraneoplastic cerebellar ataxia, which affects balance, coordination, speech, and vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing meals and assisting with general kitchen tasks.
  • Carrying out household duties including hoovering, cleaning, laundry, ironing, and changing bed linen.
  • Supporting with administrative tasks such as making appointments, handling telephone calls, and completing forms.
  • Providing transport for weekly food shopping and attending appointments (e.g. hairdresser, dentist, GP).
  • Offering general support in maintaining an organised and comfortable home environment.
