Time for a new career? Come and join our friendly team. We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join the Revenues and Benefit Contact Centre as Customer Advisor 1 on a full time permanent basis. This opportunity presents two vacancies, working 37 hours per week.
Working hours will be alternated for service needs: Monday to Thursday either 8:30 am to 4:30 pm or 9:30 am to 5:30 pm and Friday either 8:30 am to 4:00 pm or 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.
The Contact Centre is extremely customer focused, providing support and advice to residents and businesses of the East Riding. The Customer Advisor role ensures that every customer contact counts. We require someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, along with a good level of interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Successful candidates will be working within a team, whilst being able to demonstrate commitment, flexibility and deal with complex legislation and procedures. Proficient keyboard skills are essential along with being committed to high standards of customer service. You must be able to communicate effectively and courteously, whilst working as part of an extremely busy team, attaining daily key performance indicators.
Some experience with council tax, benefits or council rents is essential to the role. Working in a busy telephone environment is also an advantage and would greatly benefit your application but is not essential. If you feel this could be you, apply today.
Full training provided over several weeks based at County Hall, Beverley. Please note: This is a career graded post starting as a Customer Advisor 1 (4b). There may be the opportunity to progress to a Customer Advisor 2 (5a) once eligible criteria have been met and there is the requirement for this.
Home & Office based working: Working at least 2 days every 4 weeks, office based at County Hall, Beverley. A desk space will be required for home working.
