East Riding Leisure Goole is recruiting Lifeguards to join our team as we prepare to reopen our newly redeveloped leisure centre in November 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a brand-new era for East Riding Leisure Goole.

Successful applicants will play a vital role in providing a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for our customers while helping to deliver high-quality leisure services to the local community.

Employment is expected to commence from early October 2026

, allowing successful candidates to complete training, inductions and operational preparation ahead of the facility reopening.

About the Role

As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for

  • Supervising swimming pool activities and ensuring customer safety at all times.
  • Responding effectively to emergencies and following operating procedures.
  • Delivering excellent customer service across the facility.
  • Supporting the setup and operation of activities and equipment.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Working as part of a wider operational team to provide an excellent customer experience.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should

  • Hold a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ), or be currently working towards obtaining one before commencing employment.
  • Have excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Be reliable, enthusiastic and able to work as part of a team.
  • Be committed to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
  • Be flexible in their approach to work.
  • Working Pattern

Working hours are based on a 3-week rota, with a requirement to work evenings and weekends as part of the schedule.
