About the recipient: The individual is male, 18 years old and resides in Cottingham. They require a dedicated and suitable person to support them due to having Autism. They enjoy walking, trampoline, bowling and other activities, but do not like going in busy public areas. The role is for 2 workers for 4 hours per week.
About the role: The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting the individual with keeping them safe and happy, understanding their needs and ways to deal with their disabilities.
- Assisting with personal care.
- Helping the individual access activities and spend time out in the community.
- Transporting the individual to social activities and appointments.
- Encouraging social interaction and inclusion, providing emotional support.
About the candidate: The suitable candidate must:

- Be patient, caring and understanding.
- Have good communication skills (clear and effective communication).
- Build a positive relationship with the individual to encourage and support them.

DBS/Reference checks will be required for this post, with costs met by the local authority. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS clearance check. Some travel across East Riding of Yorkshire may be required, and applicants must be able to transport themselves.
