The job itself
Nafferton Primary School is seeking to appoint a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to join our team as soon as possible.
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 11:00am
Term time only + 4 training days
(Flexible working hours may be considered)
As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for ensuring the school\’s communal areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. Duties will include:
- Vacuuming and sweeping floors
- Dusting shelving and surfaces
- Cleaning internal windows and window sills
- Cleaning and stocking toilet facilities
- Cleaning spills using appropriate equipment
- Washing linen and undertaking light ironing
The successful candidate will have an eye for detail and take pride in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment. You will also be willing to undertake relevant training, including COSHH, to support safe working practices.

General Kitchen Assistant Vacancy
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday, 11:00am – 2:00pm
Term time only + 4 training days
The ideal candidate will preferably hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification and have an understanding of current Government standards for school food and drink, or be willing to complete the necessary training.
Duties will include:
- Supporting in the preparation of the school servery for lunch service
- Assisting with serving meals to pupils
- Clearing and cleaning eating areas and service equipment
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the kitchen and servery
- Supporting with daily and weekly school meals documentation
You will be a flexible team player who can work to a high standard with minimal supervision and is committed to supporting the delivery and development of our school meals service.
We are looking for individuals who are approachable, enthusiastic, flexible and committed to providing a high-quality service within our school community.
Start date: ASAP
