The job itself

Required as soon as possible a Handy Person to work across the collaboration of four nursery schools – Hornsea, Hedon, Bridlington and Beverley Manor.

We are seeking a motivated person to provide practical, hands‑on support in maintaining the grounds, buildings, and resources across the sites. This is a varied, physical role that covers everything from gardening and DIY to painting, basic repairs, and supporting the teaching team in developing resources. We’re looking for someone who’s proactive, takes pride in their work, and is happy to turn their hand to whatever’s needed to keep the sites safe, clean, and running smoothly.

The right person will play an essential role in ensuring the whole environment – indoors and out – is cared for and well‑maintained for everyone who uses it.

16 hours per week over 39 weeks of the year to include some term time weeks and some holiday weeks. Fixed term to 31 st December initially, with the possibility to continue for the right person.
