The job itself
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Invest East Yorkshire team within Economic Development as Receptionist / Facility Co-ordinator at our prestigious Business Centre in Goole. RaisE is one of the newest additions to the Business Centre portfolio and is located off Junction 36 of the M62. The role is to manage the main reception, conference facilties and support the businesses occupying the office space within.
The Business Centres provide high quality office & workshop accommodation available on licence agreements to new and small businesses in additon to proving a wide range of business support initiatives such as business advice, training and information to support the creation, development and growth of local businesses. Promotion of any available office, conference and meeting space to the external business community will form a key part of the job.
We are looking to recruit a full time Receptionist/ Facility Coordinator to ensure the Business Centre is open between the hours of 7:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday. The post will work shifts - two weeks of early shifts 7.30am to 4pm and then change to two weeks of later shifts 9am to 5.30pm (5pm on Fridays)
As part of the front of house team the successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic and have excellent customer care and communication skills. The post will be physically demanding and very varied, with duties to include, showing prospective tenants around, meeting and greeting visitors, setting up conference & meeting rooms, problem solving, managing tenants expectations, health and safety and host of other related duties.
You should have a minimum of NVQ Level II in Business Administration or equivalent, have direct experience of working in an office environment (facilities management desirable) and diary management. You should also possess an interest in business, economic growth and developments in the local area. You maybe required to work from one of our other Business Centres occasionally so use of a car and willingness to travel is desirable.
