In East Riding we are Stronger Together: You can, I can, We can. We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Team Manager to join our Strengthening and Supporting Families Service within our Children and Young People Support and Safeguarding Service. We need a qualified and registered social worker who has excellent decision-making skills and is able to provide support to their team and to the service on its journey to outstanding.

We understand the importance of equipping you with the tools to build meaningful relationships and make lasting changes to those we work with and who need us most. We support our social work colleagues to deliver fantastic social work and champion social worker wellbeing with a strong focus on learning and development through our Stronger Together approach. Senior leaders are visible and approachable, and practitioners feel valued, listened to and part of the whole service.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Strengthening and Supporting Families Service within the Children and Young People Support and Safeguarding Service.
  • Provide guidance and support to the social work team and contribute to the service’s journey toward outstanding practice.
  • Foster collaborative, relationship-based practice and ensure alignment with the service’s practice standards and quality assurance framework.
  • Promote and uphold the Signs of Safety framework within a values-based model of practice, ensuring a consistent, well-developed approach across the team.
  • Work with senior leaders to support workforce wellbeing, learning and development, and to drive improvement and transformation across the service.
Qualifications:
  • Qualified and registered social worker with excellent decision-making skills and the ability to support a team and the service on its journey to outstanding.
