East Riding Council is recruiting to the post of Museums and Archives Manager. We are seeking a passionate heritage professional with significant experience to lead a large and diverse service. The Museums and Archives Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Museums and Archives Service, working with the teams to ensure the preservation and promotion of local cultural heritage, providing great opportunities for our residents and visitors and working towards strategic ambitions.

The Museums and Archives service is spread across the rural East Riding and includes art galleries, museums, archives, country houses and historic buildings. The Manager will lead the efficient and effective delivery of this service, including reviews of systems and structures, reaccreditation, NPO and other major funding applications to grow new opportunities and investment. The post holder will work strategically with colleagues and partners across the East Riding and the wider region.

Some travel across East Riding of Yorkshire may be required; applicants must be able to transport themselves.
