About the Role

The Construction Assistant will provide support to the Framework Management team to deliver the Council's capital programme.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support supplier selection and performance monitoring
  • Undertake e-tendering activities
  • Provide administrative support for YORhub frameworks
  • Help plan and organise events and meetings
  • Take accurate meeting minutes and provide general admin support
  • Engage in training and development opportunities

We're looking for a proactive and organised person. This is a predominantly administrative role, ideal for someone interested in the construction industry but not seeking site-based work.

About Us

The Construction Management Services Group (CMS) supports the Council by delivering a range of procurement and project management services covering building maintenance, civil engineering services, and construction related consultancy services. CMS are also one of the lead departments for the Council's involvement in the YORhub suite of regional construction frameworks.
