Beverley Grammar School is a popular 11–18 boys’ comprehensive with a Joint Sixth form with the neighbouring girls’ school. We focus on creating a culture of success, a positive climate for learning, increased student attainment and achievement, and social and emotional development for all our students.
We are seeking to recruit a Careers Adviser to provide Careers Information, Advice and Guidance to our students. We would welcome applications from Level 6 qualified Careers Advisers with experience of working in secondary schools but would consider a Level 4 qualified Adviser with previous experience of working in schools, who is willing to undertake an appropriate Level 6 qualification in Careers Guidance as a condition of employment.
Main duties:
- Support Assistant Head in developing and delivering comprehensive careers programme.
- Support students in making post‑school choices.
- Provide up‑to‑date and comprehensive information on post‑16 and post‑18 pathways, qualifications, and the local and national labour market.
- Support school events, including careers fairs, university visits, employer engagement days, and mock interview sessions.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interviews and destination data.
Beverley Grammar School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. Clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required prior to appointment.
