Apprentice Assistant Zookeeper Join the Team at Sewerby Zoo!
Are you enthusiastic, motivated, and passionate about animal care? We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our friendly team at Sewerby Zoo as an Apprentice Assistant Zookeeper.
This exciting opportunity offers hands-on experience alongside the chance to gain a Level 2 qualification in Animal Care and Welfare, delivered through weekly day-release training at Bishop Burton College.
As part of the role, you will support the Head Zookeeper and wider team in:
- Maintaining high standards of animal welfare and husbandry
- Assisting with daily care routines and enclosure maintenance
- Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene throughout the zoo
- Supporting compliance with zoo licensing regulations
We are seeking applicants who:
