Are you ready to launch your career in public sector finance? We’re looking for a motivated and ambitious individual to join our Finance team as a Trainee Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of financial disciplines while studying towards a recognised professional accountancy qualification (CIPFA).

About the Role

As a Trainee Accountant, you’ll rotate across key areas of Finance, including:

- Final accounts preparation
- Statutory government returns
- Treasury management

You’ll support budget holders, contribute to the Council’s Annual Accounts, assist with reconciliations, and help manage treasury activities. You’ll also be involved in statutory returns, financial reporting, and internal projects.
