East Renfrewshire Council is seeking an enthusiastic technician to join our planning team. You will be involved in a range of technical support to the development management function including validating planning applications, map registering, vetting plans, arranging neighbour notifications, erecting site notices and undertaking consultations. You will also assist in enforcement and appeal work. You will assist customers in person, in writing and on the phone with general planning enquiries.
The role requires technical and IT skills (preferably including experience with the IDOX/UNIform case handling system). The postholder will also need good communication skills as the job involves liaising with elected Members, other Council services, developers and residents.
