We have an exciting permanent opportunity to join our friendly and supportive team in the role of Countryside Ranger, within Dams to Darnley Country Park. This is an important post, essential to the successful development, management and enjoyment of the country park.

You will be part of a small team, responsible for the development and promotion of recreational, outdoor learning, community and volunteering activities and opportunities within the country park, with a focus upon new active travel and visitor infrastructure at Balgray Reservoir.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. It is an offence therefore to apply if you are barred from working with children. In addition to this, if you have lived or worked in any country outside the UK in the past 10 years, there may be a requirement for an overseas police check.

East Renfrewshire Council does not provide Visa sponsorship. Please note - all applicants will be asked to provide proof of their right to work in the UK, and any offer of employment will be conditional upon verifying documentary evidence before employment commences.
