East Renfrewshire Council’s Roads & Transportation Service are looking to recruit a committed individual for the post of Technical Officer.
The successful applicant will have experience in a number of areas, which may include:
- Preparation and issue of competitive tender of civil engineering works
- Road safety
- Assessment of planning applications
- Design and installation of pedestrian crossings and traffic signal controlled junctions
- Design and delivery of sustainable and active travel schemes
- Assessment and issue of Road Construction Consents
The post will work closely with various stakeholders within the Service and across the Environment Department together with external stakeholders.
Hybrid employees are considered workplace based first, but they will have a level of flexibility to work from home up to 40% of their working week, if it is not to the detriment of their current tasks, team requirements or service needs.
