We are looking for an experienced, creative and motivated social worker with a passion for achieving excellence to strengthen and support the delivery of service. This is a permanent post in the Learning Disability Team.
It is essential that you are a qualified, registered social worker with a recognised Social Work Diploma or Degree. We need someone who has experience of assessment and care management in a community care setting, has excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience of partnership working. Ideally the successful post holder will also have a post qualification award and a driving licence.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. It is an offence therefore to apply if you are barred from working with children and protected adults. In addition to this, if you have lived or worked in any country outside the UK in the past 10 years, there may be a requirement for an overseas police check.
If you are not currently registered with SSSC you will commence employment as a Social Work Assistant (Grade 7 - £29,745 to £31,954) until full registration is obtained. This post requires Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) registration. You must currently have registration or eligibility to apply from commencement of employment (you must apply to register within the first 3 months of employment to ensure registration is complete within 6 months of starting in your role).
