Our Prevention Services Section have a vacancy for a full time, permanent, Senior Trading Standards Officer to enhance an experienced and dynamic existing team. In addition to supporting the delivery of our full range of statutory functions, we allow officers to be creative, developing projects suited to their individual professional expertise and passion. We tailor our service to the demographics and requirements of our local community while linking with National Trading Standards key priorities.
You must have substantial relevant work experience within a trading standards environment; be fully conversant with trading standards legislation, be confident and self-motivated with good IT and communication skills. Trading Standards trainees may also be considered if they are progressing with the formal qualification. (Grading dependent on experience). You must have a Diploma in Trading Standards or its equivalent.
