The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
You will be required to provide a science technician service within the school, servicing Biology, Chemistry and Physics laboratories by ensuring that all equipment and chemicals required are properly prepared and available in a safe and functional condition.
An appropriate science based qualification (i.e. Chemistry, Biology or Physics) at C&G/ONC/HNC level, or equivalent, is essential. In addition you should have experience in the care, use and maintenance of science equipment and have an awareness of current health & safety practices.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. It is an offence therefore to apply if you are barred from working with children. In addition to this, if you have lived or worked in any country outside the UK in the past 10 years, there may be a requirement for an overseas police check.
