East Renfrewshire Active Schools, in partnership with Enable Works and Sport Scotland, invites applications for our Modern Apprenticeship post.
This Modern Apprenticeship offers paid employment to a young person with a disability, aged 16-24, living within East Renfrewshire, who has an interest in working in sport.
A disability may include physical, learning, or sensory impairments, such as (not an exhaustive list):
- ADHD
- Dyslexia/Dyscalculia
- Autism
The role combines on-the-job learning with support, leading to a nationally recognized qualification.
The successful applicant will be employed on a fixed-term 18-month contract, working 25 hours per week, and working towards achieving the SCQF Level 6 Sports qualification. Annual leave will be in line with East Renfrewshire Council conditions of service.
Training will be provided on-the-job within the Active Schools Team.
The successful candidate will be expected to adhere to health and safety protocols and attend all training sessions.
