Bonnyton House Care Home is a 34 bedded residential home for older adults which is part of the East Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership, based in the Busby area of East Renfrewshire.
Our cooks in the home are a vital part of our team to ensure that our residents receive nutritional meals. You will work within the catering team as well as the wider team within the care home.
As part of your role, you will undertake the preparation of nutritional meals, snacks, and home baking while paying attention to the nutritional needs of our residents and the food presentation. Our cooks are also involved in getting to know our residents and will be supporting with transporting and serving of meals to the residents as well as general kitchen and dining room duties.
You should have relevant cooking and home baking skills as well as an understanding of the needs of the type of clients catered for, together with good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. A City and Guilds Catering qualification or similar would be an advantage.
