We require a highly motivated staff member to provide our customers with a great overall venue experience. We’re looking for candidates that are passionate about their customers and will play a vital role in the operational delivery of the front line service to the public.
As part of the leisure team you will be responsible for the day to day operations of the venues, ensure safety and behaviour of customers is controlled and provide trained assistance in the form of lifesaving skills when necessary. You would also be responsible for ensuring the safety and cleanliness of our facilities along with set up and dismantle equipment when required and general cleaning duties.
You must have a current National Pool Lifeguard Certificate, a Pool Plant certificate would be advantageous and have experience within the leisure industry. You must be able to demonstrate good communication skills, key knowledge of customer care and be able to work in a team environment. The ability to work evenings and weekends is required.

As part of this role you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Venue Manager and Team Leaders, ensuring that the Venue is managed to a high standard and delivers a high quality customer journey.
- Undertake the day to day operation role aspects of the Venue Team Leader during periods of absence.
- Undertake Venue operations to deliver the programmed activities.
- Working with Venues Manager and other colleagues, maximising usage and income.
- Ensure Customer Journey is a high quality experience, leading the Venue Customer team to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Oversee systems in relation to financial and statistical information to ensure information is accurate and transactions are in line with appropriate policies.
- Monitor swimming pool test results, taking any corrective action required.
We need someone who has:
- Excellent customer skills.
- Good communication.
- Ability to find solutions to booking requirements.
- Experience of being responsible for Cash and compliance with financial regulations.
- Competent and able to use Computer.
- Experience of running pool plant and recording information accurately.
- Ability to use Venue Management software i.e. Theatre, Leisure or Library systems.
- Ability to run shifts to deliver appropriate service levels for safe operation.
Ideally the successful post holder will also have a pool plant certificate and be able to work on your own initiative or within the team.
