We are looking for an experienced, creative and motivated Social Worker with a passion for achieving excellence to strengthen and support the delivery of service. The post is in the Transitions Service with the focus on supporting young people with complex needs transitioning to adult services. The role involves working across children’s and adult services.
You will work creatively and innovatively to assess, plan and coordinate supports for young people to engage in a range of post school opportunities and to offer support to their caring network during this transition. It is essential that you are a qualified, registered social worker with a recognised Social Work Diploma or Degree.
Depending upon the needs of the service, staff in Hybrid roles will typically work from home for up to 40-60% of the time where the needs of the service can still be met. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. It is an offence therefore to apply if you are barred from working with children and protected adults.
In addition to this, if you have lived or worked in any country outside the UK in the past 10 years, there may be a requirement for an overseas police check. If you are not currently registered with SSSC you will commence employment as a Social Work Assistant (Grade 7 - £30,932 to £33,231) until full registration is obtained. This post requires Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) registration. You must currently have registration or eligibility to apply from commencement of employment (you must apply to register within the first 3 months of employment to ensure registration is complete within 6 months of starting in your role).
