An exciting opportunity for a Moving and Handling Advisor has arisen within our Intensive Services team.

You will be responsible for carrying out moving and handling risk assessments for our service users that comply with current health and safety legislation. You will also provide best practice advice and information on moving and handling issues to care and support staff, managers and informal carers. Although the post predominately works within care at home services, you will also provide support to other care groups across the Health and Social Care Partnership.

In addition, you will assist in the delivery of Moving and Handling training for a range of staff groups across the Health and Social Care Partnership.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. It is an offence therefore to apply if you are barred from working with protected adults.
