Job Responsibilities

The postholder will provide administrative and coordination support to the Corporate Governance team.

They will help ensure that governance processes run smoothly and that information is accurate, timely and well-presented.

This includes supporting Board and Committee activities, maintaining governance calendars, monitoring the governance mailbox, and raising purchase orders for the team.

All successful applicants will be required to undergo pre‑employment checks prior to receiving an unconditional offer.

If full employment checks cannot be achieved—e. g., if existing and unserved disciplinary sanctions are uncovered—the offer may be withdrawn.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Training or qualification in administration, governance, business support, or related areas.

Experience

  • Experience supporting meetings or preparing documentation.
  • Experience supporting Board or Committee administration.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Experience managing shared inboxes or monitoring mailboxes.
  • Experience maintaining statutory registers.
  • Experience raising Purchase Orders or willingness to learn quickly.
  • Experience in NHS or public‑sector administration.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident using digital systems, including shared drives and file management tools.
  • Personal Qualities, Abilities and Attributes
  • Ability to travel to Trust sites if required.
  • Disclosure and Barring Service Check
