The Team Leader will support the running of the locality in conjunction with the Leading Operations Manager, or as directed including welfare, performance management, absence management, completion of appraisals and clinical leadership as well as providing support following adverse or traumatic incidents; as an essential part of this role.

If you are successful in becoming a Team Leader and are currently working on an RRV, the role will require you to transition to a DSA for your patient-facing shifts. This is to ensure Team Leaders have maximum interaction with their teams and staff, all patient-facing duties will be carried out on a DSA.

If you are successful in application and assessment for this role, you will be invited to attend a 3 day Team Leader ‘Kickstarter’ induction.

Please note:

  • external Paramedic applicants will also be subject to a 2 week induction at one of our training centres

During the training course it is your responsibility to attend in full, on each day. Accommodation and travel expenses will not be provided so you will need to consider the costs and travel expense of attending. Where possible, candidates will be allocated to the training centre nearest to their operational base.

To apply you will be a HCPC registered Paramedic or NMC registered Nurse, if applicable you will have also fully completed a Newly Qualified Paramedic consolidation programme, evidence of this will be required. You will also be expected to provide a portfolio detailing your experience of working within the emergency ambulance service or primary healthcare setting.

Applicants are expected to have an existing full C1 licence. Emergency Response Driving Qualification certificate is desirable, however you will be expected to gain this qualification if successfully appointed.
